Project Sunkalp | Camp KVT-MDTK-035 | 13.08.2026
37 people from Padalam came forward to take an important step towards protecting their health through early cancer screening.
At the Project Sunkalp cancer screening camp held at Padalam PHC, Madurantakam, both women and men from the community participated:
24 clinical breast examinations
36 oral cancer examinations
The camp brought together 25 women and 12 men, highlighting an important message: cancer awareness and early detection are for everyone.
Cancer does not always come with visible warning signs. Regular screening can help identify suspicious changes at an earlier stage, giving individuals a better opportunity to receive timely medical care and achieve better outcomes.
For many communities, accessing specialised healthcare can be challenging because of distance, cost, or limited awareness. By bringing screening services closer to people's homes through local healthcare facilities, Project Sunkalp is helping make preventive healthcare more accessible.
Every screening camp is more than a number. It represents a person who chose to take action, learn about their health, and understand the importance of early detection.
Through Project Sunkalp, Kalpavriksham Trust continues to work with PHCs, local communities, and partners to strengthen cancer awareness and expand access to screening across Madurantakam.
We believe that early detection should be within everyone's reach. Together, we can build communities where people don't wait for symptoms before taking care of their health.
Kalpavriksham Trust is registered under 12AB, 80G, and CSR-1 (MCA) and is listed on NGO Darpan. We provide transparent, camp-wise impact reports for every CSR partnership.
Would your PHC, village, panchayat, organisation, or workplace like to host a cancer screening camp? get in touch with us. Together, we can bring early detection closer to every community.
